 High-end Columbus cruise ship visits Vietnam (18/03/2010)
On March 17th, Saigontourists welcomed Columbus cruise ship with 750 tourists and crews, mainly German, to Vietnam on the route of Haiphong – Hanoi – Halong – Nha Trang. This is the first visit of the high-end cruise ship to Vietnam in 2010.

The 5th International Exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology and Transportation – Vietship 2010, is expected to witness the signing of a number of contracts totally worth US$300 million. The three-day event which kicked off yesterday at the National Convention Centre in Ha Noi has attracted 600 stalls from 300 companies with two-thirds from developed shipbuilding countries such as Japan, China, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and Norway including Kwong Soon, Lloyds Register, Ned Deck, Simexco and Hempel.

 VND8 trillion to invest in developing 211 fishing ports (17/03/2010)
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved an VND8 trillion project designed to build a total of 211 fishing ports in 28 coastal provinces and cities throughout the country from now until 2020. Of those, 178 fishing ports capable of handling over 2.1 million tonnes of seafood each year will be constructed along the coast of the targeted localities and the remainder will be built on islands, which are capable of unloading 215,000 tonnes of seafood per annum...
 Islets in Quang Ninh: Ba Trai Dao Islet (16/03/2010)
This island consists of three small mountains with the height of 23 m, seen from afar, resemble three peaches (Ba Trái Đào). The island connects to a legend of about the romantic love between a youngest fairy who was very pretty with a young and poor fisherman. Because of feeling in love with him, she stole three peaches from Heaven for him, that if he ate, would give him eternal life, allowing them to live together forever. The King of the Heavens discovered the robbery and turned the peaches into three stone islands. Chastised, the young fairy had to return. Today, Ba Trái Ðào is a famous tourist attraction with three nice fairy beaches, romantic landscape. It is 22 km from south north of Bãi Cháy Tourist Wharf.
