 Ha Noi urban planning falls short (05/03/2010)
Many new urban areas in the capital have been found to lack schools and other necessary public works in a recent inspection carried out by the municipal Peoples Committee. In addition, many initial plans had been adjusted after receiving planning permission, the inspection report said. Vice Chairman of the committee Phi Thai Binh said that investors had only focused on building apartments for profiteering but ignored other important infrastructure components.
 New Vietnam-Cambodia bordergate opens (05/03/2010)
The People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc province on March 3 inaugurated the Hoang Dieu-Lapakhe Bordergate in Bu Dop district, which is contiguous to Mundulkiri province of Cambodia.
 Scores of Hanois future projects to be amended(04/03/2010)
Over 244 planning, construction and investment projects for Hanoi have been re-evaluated, and many of these projects will be revised and corrected in accordance with the city’s general planning rules. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung agreed, in principle, for these projects to be carried on, but Hanoi authority will need to coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to revise and correct all projects tto insure they work within the framework of the citys future planning..

The Central Highlands cover the southern part of the Truong Son Mountain Range (Anna mite Cordillera) and include the provinces of Lam Dong, Dac Lac (Dak Lak), Gia Lai and Kon Tum. The region, which is home to many highland minority groups or Montagnards, is renowned for its cool climate, mountain scenery, innumerable streams, lakes and waterfalls.
