The deadly fire that broke out at the 18 story JSC 34 building on Hanoi’s Le Van Luong Street on March 10 has made some ‘cliff dwellers’ think twice about where they should live. The prices of apartments have dropped sharply, reports VietNamNet. Nguyen Dinh Thang, the owner of an apartment at the nearby Licogi 34 building, related that after the fire at JSC 34, he got so frightened that he has decided to find a house ‘on the face of the earth’ to live in.  DIG starts work on Ba Ria-Vung Tau residential project(18/03/2010)
Construction Development and Investment Joint Stock Corp (coded DIG) on March 17 began construction on building Ba Ria Vung Tau residential project on a site of 35 hectares in Phu My new urban zone, Tan Thanh, in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. The project is being set up in cooperation between DIG and ATA Construction Investment Joint Stock Co.o DIG contributes 80 percent stake in the project while 20 percent would be invested by ATA. The project has a total investment of 300 billion dong./.

Ho Chi Minh City authorities have abolished plans to acquire land for the Binh Quoi-Thanh Da urban project, but many residents in Binh Thanh District’s Ward 28 have yet to receive certificates entitling them to land-use rights.
