The fifth Conference of the Joint Coordination Committee for the Development Triangle of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) took place in Banlung City, Ratnakiri province (Cambodia), from March 16-18, opening new prospects for trade promotion among these countries.

The Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance signed five loan agreements worth Yen25.82 billion (USD290 milllion) with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on March 18th, in Hanoi.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung approved proposals to fight traffic congestion in Ha Noi at a meeting between the Government and municipal leaders yesterday.

“Vietnam Today” is the theme of a talk on Vietnam’s economic development held by the German Institute of Economic Research (DIW) and Asian Development Bank in Berlin on March 17.
The talk was presided over by Alexander Fischer, DIW vice president and managing director and Antonia Andrea Monari, ADB general director in Europe with Ayumi Konishi, ADB director in Vietnam as the main speaker. Environmental officers from southeastern Binh Duong Province found 40 tons of expired milk on March 16 at a refuse area of The Gioi Xanh Co., located in Tan Uyen District.
The batch of Anco Co. milk was produced in April 2008 at Nutifood and Elovi dairy factories and had an expiration date listed as October 17, 2008.
